Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton. Hands down, the best dressed woman at tonight's Oscars. She is serving old hollywood glamour with that gorgeous hair. Her dress is beautiful and that amazing color brings out her eyes AND this woman just had a baby! 

White pumps

White shoes were all over the Spring 2012 runways but I ignored the trend because there are two things I have spent much of my life trying to avoid; white stockings and white pumps. In my opinion white stockings should be worn only by nurses, Catholic school students or young girls under the age of 12 with their special occasion dresses. White shoes can be worn by brides (maybe, it really depends on the shoes) nurses and again young girls with their special occasion dresses. But this season I am being forced to rethink my white shoe stance (I will never change my mind about white stockings!!!!!). While they still are not for me, I am admiring how Solange Knowles, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez wore them. Especially the first three, the stark pump was an unexpected choice considering their colorful ensembles.

          Rihanna is wearing Alexander Wang's Joan pump which is pretty much sold out everywhere.

I've been a bad blogger. Please forgive me. I had limited internet access while in Ghana and was also dealing with a family health scare. Thankfully things are much better now and I am grateful to God. I am back in the US and hope to be more diligent about posting. Returning was a rude awakening though. Going from 90 degree weather to 25 degree weather is not fun. How are you all coping with this severe cold while still looking fashionable? I am rocking my faux fur ushanka a.k.a trapper hat. I wear it with both my down filled puffer coat and any of my wool coats. 

This hat is so warm it is amazing. And I find that my whole body feels warmer when my head is covered. I suggest everyone invest in one. I got mine a couple of seasons ago at H&M but have seen a few affordable options that I have liked this season. Try here and here.
